HUNGARIAN GLIDERS
1933-2000

Type designation: R-22SV
Name: Standard Futár (D Futár)
Designer: Ernő RUBIK
Class: Standard
General arrangement: Cantilever mid-wing, closed cockpit, retractable wheel, traditional tail unit
Crew: 1
First flight: May 1958
Manufacturer: Sportárutermelő V., Esztergom (former AeroEver Ltd.)
Number of built: 1

Short history:
Simultaneously with the development of the RS-22SV C Super Futár from the RS-22SV B Super Futár a standard class version was developed as well. This new type was similar to the "C" version with reduced wing span. The Sandard Futár first flew at May 1958.

The Standard Futár was licensed for winch and aerotow launching as well as basic aerobatics and cloud flying.

The most memorable flights with Standard Futár:

- Overall 11th place, VII. World Championship, Leszno, 1958, Nándor OPITZ.
- 2nd place, distance task, VII. World Championship, Leszno, 1958, 518 km, Nándor
OPITZ (with this flight he finished the first Hungarian diamond badge).
- Height gain of 3000 m, 1958
- Distance flights of 304, 314 and 375,5 km, 1959.

Structure:  All wooden
   Wing:
The half wings were shortened at the root by 350 mm. The airbrakes were moved 300 mm closer to the wingtips. All the other aerodynamic and geometric characteristics were similar to those of the "C" version. At the wingtips "almond" wingtip fairings were fitted.
   Fuselage:
The fuselage was similar to the "C" version's fuselage. At the world championship the landing gear was sealed in the retractable position.
   Tail unit:
The tail unit was similar to that of the "C" version.
